Wheat Kings

This Luxurious Shawl piece is the wearable version of a two part collection entitled Wheat Kings.
It is woven on a warp of kitteny soft, thick Marine Silk (a Merino wool, Mulberry Silk and Seacell blend). The Weft is a thick and squishy Luxury Mulberry Silk in its natural color and is complimented by pool dyed blocks in earthy Metalics. This silk has an excellent shine, really enhancing the metallic feel. It’s adorned with loads of Mulberry Silk embroidered features, including a beautiful wheat picture. There are stone beads lining the tails.

It measures 2.2m plus the hemstitched fringe, twisted in a mix of thick and thin strands….preventing tangling and accidental wet felting.

This piece is not only beautiful but feels amazing! It’s soft and squishy, with a drapey silk feel. It’s thicker without feeling heavy. A beautiful, neutral masterpiece.
